“Boxe Tpo is a small and young boxing club in Bologna Italy, it represents the boxing team of a multi-functional sport association called Hic Sunt Leones, situated inside the Tpo historical social center.”

“This multi-functional sport structure, born in 2010, is first of all involved in social projects around the city of Bologna giving opportunities to unlucky guys and girls through the practice of boxing and other sports in general. The club is actually involved in the promotion of health sport, integration of minorities and anti-racism.”

“The boxing club starts his competitive activity in 2014 and reached in few years important targets despite the difficult situation due to a non-profit and complete self-managed system. Actually, Boxe Tpo is high positioned in the FPI (Italian Boxing Federation) rankings at regional and national level.”

“Our boxing style looks to discover, develop and improve technical and tactical skills, also comparing to other boxing attitudes, traditions and schools. During years Boxe Tpo built built strong relationships with Cuba where head coach Giuni Ligabue trained together with his girlfriend and boxer Chiara Gregoris, sharing experiences with great coaches like Hector Vinent Charon (two times Olympic Gold Medal and three times World Champion) and Angel Moya (World Champion). At the end of that experience Giuni and Chiara published a documentary film and a book over the Cuban Boxing School and the history of boxing in Cuba (Pugni e Socialismo, Red Star Press 2015). Later on, international relationships were built with Brazil, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany and Spain.

During years the prestige of Boxe Tpo grew up in the city of Bologna with the organization of important high-level boxing events, making more than 4000 people fall in love with boxing, in a territory where the passion that our sport deserves was falling down since years and years.
